Eleven high hazard alluvial fans were identified from the twenty-seven areas studied in the supplementary investigation (Barrel et al, 2009). The fans selected within this investigation do not necessarily represent those fans in Otago with the highest level of hazard rather; this subset has been selected based on existing and future development potential. These eleven areas make up the datasets:<\/SPAN><\/P>

Central Otago: <\/SPAN>Reservoir Creek (Roxburgh)<\/SPAN><\/P>

The field \"<\/SPAN>Channel_Feature<\/SPAN>\" has been added to categorize the data based on the original layer from which it came (<\/SPAN>Incision Line and Channels<\/SPAN>).<\/SPAN><\/P>

The Channels that are included in this layer are classified by channel type:<\/SPAN><\/P>

Class 1 - Main Channel<\/SPAN><\/P>

Class 2 - Palaeo-Channel<\/SPAN><\/P>

Class 3 - Modified Channel<\/SPAN><\/P>

The Incision Line <\/SPAN>data <\/SPAN>serves to identify the channel incisions down<\/SPAN> each of<\/SPAN> the fan surfaces<\/SPAN>, including<\/SPAN> the location and properties of <\/SPAN>each<\/SPAN>:<\/SPAN><\/P>
